YoGrá Yoga Studio
Yoga and Meditation Teacher Trainings
The anatomy and physiology module is taught by Dr Andrew Mc Gonnigle, a medically trained yoga anatomy teacher empowering yoga teachers to teach from a more science-informed perspective.
Andrew has also been a yoga teacher for over 15 years and his passion is educating yoga teachers to explore in detail the anatomy and physiology of our incredible bodies and to apply this knowledge to practising and teaching yoga.
Each topic we delve into is related directly back to the yoga asana practice. There is a strong focus on using this knowledge of anatomy and physiology to make asana practices as inclusive as possible. Time is dedicated to exploring how to best communicate with and support students who come to class with common injuries and conditions. There are dedicated yoga practices throughout the course to ensure full integration of the knowledge.
Meet your teachers
Christine Dunworth
Hi, I’m Christine, a dedicated yoga teacher and the owner of YoGrá Yoga Studio in Maynooth, Co. Kildare.
My mission is to make yoga accessible and inclusive for everyone in our community. I have worked tirelessly to create a welcoming and supportive environment for students of all ages and abilities.
At YoGrá Yoga Studio, my teaching style is centred around understanding and meeting the diverse needs of our students. I utilise a variety of props and variations to help each individual find their unique expression of yoga postures, ensuring a safe and comfortable practice for all.
My passion for training future yoga teachers began during my time working under Paula Mitten at Durga Yoga, where I progressed from an eager assistant to a tutor on the 200-hour YTT. My journey has taken me to Suryalila in Spain to train with esteemed teachers like Vidya Heisel, Jennilee Toner, and Jennifer Yaro. Additionally, I have trained in Yin Yoga with Josh Summers and attended workshops with Kino McGregor.
With over 1000 hours of yoga teacher training in various styles including Vinyasa Flow, Prenatal Yoga, Yoga Therapy, and Yin Yoga, as well as several Pilates teacher trainings, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my classes. I am also a qualified massage therapist and a busy mother of three children.
In my spare time, you will probably find me on the yoga mat or out for a walk with a business podcast!
My training courses at YoGrá Yoga Studio incorporate mindfulness, meditation, movement, chanting, and even laughter to enhance both physical and mental well-being. Join me and discover the transformative power of yoga in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
