Ashtanga Flow Yoga - Thurs 7pm
A structured and dynamic class, prepare to move!
Class Description
This class is inspired by the traditional Ashtanga Primary Series, honouring its structure, rhythm, and flowing breath-to-movement practice - while offering a more accessible, inclusive approach. You’ll move through a strong, steady vinyasa that builds heat, focus, and internal awareness, following a familiar sequence that allows the body and mind to deepen over time. While the essence and flow of a traditional Ashtanga class are preserved, this is not a rigid or one-size-fits-all practice. Props, variations, and thoughtful options are offered throughout to support different bodies, abilities, and levels of experience. Students are encouraged to work intelligently, meet themselves where they are, and explore the practice in a way that feels sustainable and empowering. Expect a dynamic, grounding class that builds strength, mobility, and concentration—rooted in tradition, guided with care, and open to all who wish to explore the magic of Ashtanga-inspired movement. Awaken and align your body with this dynamic and often energetic class. Take time out for yourself in this moving meditation where you will be guided through fluid, purposeful movements which will strengthen, stretch and align your physical body so you can enjoy a long luxurious savasana (relaxation) at the end. Christine teaches the poses in layers so you get to choose the variation and intensity of the pose that suits you. Prepare to have fun and discover your playful side!!
